1 year after my last post, and this is all I have to say?

24 hours in a day

wake up at 7:15 in the morning
wash eat dress run
catch the bus at 8

class starts at 8:30 in the morning
breaks for lunch 3 hours later
class again 30 minutes after noon
—it’s already the afternoon

get out at 4:30
the sun’s already down
run bus walk home
door to door by 5

so far so good
all hours are accounted for
but now I know
that time is tricky
because I thought there was still much more

but after dinner
it’s already 8
sure took a long time
to clear my plate

putter around
to organize my space
prepare for studies
there’s no time to waste

no time to waste
just no time to waste
but my browser and inbox
don’t feel the same way

when did I stop counting
the hours that went by
I had it down pat
until around 5

I opened my binder!
and just read a page
why am I yawning?
because it’s too late?

Cinderella is running
back to her pumpkin
if I sleep now
I can still get 7

I mean 6, hours of sleep
more if I could borrow
time from tomorrow
because 24 hours ends at 7:15

well well well... i haven't updated this thing in five months.

xanga always reminds me of the past... part of it is the idea that i could go back and see my thoughts from way long ago, and part of it is just that it was a much bigger part of my life a few years back.  but i'm posting today because i'm feeling nostalgic.  it's so hard to keep up with all the people who have come in and out of my life, hard enough to keep up with those already in my life now.  found out today that a middle school friend got married recently in new zealand, and started remembering the memories we shared... like the time we got locked out of her house so she climbed up a column and went in through her balcony.  had dinner last week with two other beijing friends, and it reminded me that we could be apart for a long time and yet still find our common ground when we come back together.  there's something special about shared middle school / high school life... different from college friendships i think.

anyway.

we could know hundreds of people in our lifetime.  who will be there with you in 30 years?  50?  who will you be there for too?

guess what.  i graduated yesterday.  AND it's been 1500 days since i joined xanga, won't i go premium?  no thank you =P

please let this be my prayer...

give me one pure and holy passion
give me one magnificent obsession
Jesus, give me one glorious ambition for my life
to know and follow hard after you

to know and follow hard after you
to grow as your disciple in the truth
this world is empty, pale, and poor
compared to knowing you my Lord
lead me on, and i will run after you
